Aiming for 800 Restaurants: KFC France's XXL Ambition Unveiled at Siec
An intensifying territorial coverage
Currently boasting nearly 400 restaurants managed alongside a network of 56 franchise partners, KFC France intends to shift into high gear. The objective announced by the development department is clear: reach the 800-location milestone.
To support this massive growth, the brand is identifying highly strategic geographical areas. The Île-de-France (Paris region), the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (AURA) region, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region are at the top of the brand's priorities to densify its presence.
Demographic Footfall: The Cornerstone of Asset Allocation
Faced with land scarcity and development constraints, KFC's striking force lies in its architectural and operational flexibility. While the traditional drive-thru model on the outskirts still represents the vast majority of the brand's assets (75%), KFC remains a hybrid player.
With 14% of its sites located in city centers and the remainder spread across shopping centers and highway rest areas, the brand is highly adaptable. Backed by an in-house design team at headquarters, the brand now claims to be capable of investing in any type of commercial space or plot, provided it is economically viable. This versatility makes KFC a partner of choice for real estate companies and local authorities looking to boost foot traffic.
