During the September edition of Siec, the FACT (Federation of Commerce Actors in Territories) unveiled the winners of the 24th edition of the Commerce Actors Trophies. This award ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 20th, at 5 p.m. in the Conference Area of the exhibition. It annually rewards commercial real estate projects and innovative initiatives driven by commercial spaces. In a new development for 2023, two awards were granted to projects from municipalities participating in the Action Cœur de Ville program.

2023 Winners

Category: Creation or Extension/Renovation of a Commercial or Multifunctional Space

  • Trophy: Renovation/Extension of a Commercial Site

Cergy 3 Fontaines, by the Hammerson Group. This site underwent an ambitious transformation to make it brighter and more open to the city. Additionally, it features the creation of free coworking spaces and the installation of a medical center.

  • Trophy: Multifunctional Project

Les Ateliers Gaîté, a project by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, for the rehabilitation of the mixed-use Gaîté block in the Montparnasse district of Paris. This exemplary urban restructuring project cmbines over 100,000 m2 of hotel, offices, eco-designed social housing, a daycare center, library, and more.

  • Jury Prize

Bord'eau Village, owned by the Tour Eiffel company. This open-air commercial site, located along the Garonne and spread across five UNESCO-listed historic hangars, successfully transformed its programming and chose a renewed offering of stores, restaurants, and activities, creating an innovative, attractive, and enhancing environment for the neighborhood and the city.

 

Category: Local Initiatives in CSR and Marketing

  • Trophy: Local CSR Initiative

Social Market at Shopping Promenade Cœur d’Alsace, created by the Frey Group, a unique, supportive, and innovative space: 1500m² entirely dedicated to second-hand and circular economy, promoting both social connections and employment integration.

  • Trophy: Local Marketing Initiative

Westfield-Euralille for its Champollion exhibition, in partnership with the Louvre-Lens. A initiative aimed at democratizing access to culture by relocating the museum experience to the shopping center and offering an immersive experience with virtual reality devices around the mysteries of ancient Egypt.

 

Category: Action Cœur de Ville

  • Trophy: Public Space Development

The city of Arpajon, for the redevelopment of the city center spaces, which reconnected shopping areas and restored coherence to pedestrian circulation in the city center.

  • Trophy: Redevelopment of a Building or Brownfield

Les Halles de Limoges, which, through the renovation of this historic building, contributed to revitalizing the city center and rejuvenating its clientele.
